Looking for a Corporate Tax Role

Looking for a corporate tax role that offers greater visibility, genuine advisory exposure and a clear path to progression?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful Corporate Tax team experiencing significant growth across the mid-market private equity space.


Working with the Deals Practice

Working closely with the deals practice, you'll support private equity-backed businesses through every stage of the investment lifecycle, from post-deal integration and restructuring through to growth planning, refinancing and eventual exit.

This role offers genuine flexibility around the balance of compliance and advisory work. Whether you enjoy a varied portfolio or want to focus more heavily on advisory projects, the position can be shaped around your strengths and career ambitions.

The Opportunity

As an Associate Director, you will take ownership of a portfolio of corporate tax clients, delivering a mix of compliance and advisory services across a broad range of sectors.

You will become a trusted adviser to clients, providing commercially focused tax solutions while building long-term relationships and supporting wider business growth.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of mid-market and private equity-backed corporate clients.
  • Deliver corporate tax compliance and advisory services.
  • Work closely with the Deals team on post-transaction projects and strategic tax matters.
  • Advise on restructurings, integrations, refinancing, growth initiatives and exit planning.
  • Lead client meetings and respond confidently to technical and commercial queries.
  • Identify opportunities for further advisory support across the client portfolio.
  • Support business development activity, pitches and proposals.
  • Coach and develop junior team members.
  • Collaborate with specialists across the wider tax and advisory practice.

About You

We are keen to speak with experienced tax professionals who combine strong technical capability with commercial awareness and excellent stakeholder management skills.

You are likely to have:

  • Strong UK corporate tax experience across compliance, advisory or both.
  • Experience gained within professional services.
  • Exposure to complex corporate groups, mid-market businesses or private equity-backed clients.
  • Strong client relationship management skills.
  • A commercial mindset and proactive approach to identifying opportunities.
  • Excellent communication skills and the credibility to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • ACA, ACCA, CTA or an equivalent professional qualification.
