DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You’ll join Bain Academy, a global team that helps clients and executives build the capabilities they need to deliver lasting results. We design and deliver customized, immersive learning experiences that strengthen leadership, accelerate results, and build enduring promoters of Bain.

Our portfolio includes more than 100 masterclasses on topics such as strategic thinking, RAPID® decision effectiveness, Agile innovation, generative AI, consultative selling, business storytelling, Net Promoter System, influencing others, and high-performing teams. We also develop executive programs that strengthen general management and leadership capabilities, as well as blended learning experiences that combine live workshops with self-paced digital learning.

We are passionate about unleashing potential and creating impact through learning, application, and continuous development.

WHERE YOU’LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM

As an Associate Director in Bain Academy, you’ll design and deliver high-impact, interactive learning programs for clients across in-person, virtual, and digital formats. You’ll serve as a thought leader and content creator, collaborating with experts across Bain to develop capability-building content that inspires, engages, and drives measurable change.

You’ll advise Bain case teams on capability-building opportunities, lead workshops for priority clients, and help shape Bain Academy’s global strategy as we continue to scale.

This role draws on the core skills of an experienced consulting leader: developing compelling content, solving complex problems, facilitating workshops, influencing senior stakeholders, and managing a diverse range of relationships. The role may involve approximately 20–25% travel, with flexibility depending on your focus and interests.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Deliver world-class learning experiences

  • Advise Client Heads, Office Heads, and case teams on client capability-building needs.
  • Share expertise on learning and development topics with Bain and client leadership teams.
  • Identify and share relevant materials to support capability-building proposals and client discussions.
  • Provide rapid-response support to Bain teams seeking capability-building content and expertise.
  • Partner with account teams on client development activities, including contributing to proposals.
  • Lead and co-deliver Bain Academy programs, tailoring design and content to the client context.
  • Design and facilitate engaging workshops, Train the Trainer sessions, and blended learning programs.
  • Support high-quality program execution, from aligning with clients on the approach through event delivery and participant follow-up.

Build and evolve Bain Academy learning assets

  • Work closely with solution leaders and experts to design high-impact training modules and immersive exercises.
  • Develop learning experiences across topics such as Agile innovation, sales effectiveness, Net Promoter System, procurement, and performance transformation.
  • Adapt internal Bain training content for external audiences.
  • Develop blended learning journeys that combine live and digital experiences.
  • Help shape Bain’s point of view on capability building and contribute to the evolution of our digital learning strategy.
  • Curate relevant external content and collaborate with colleagues across Bain.
  • Explore and pilot creative learning techniques and formats, including simulations, gamification, interactive exercises, and emerging technologies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
