Role Overview
We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Credit fund as they seek to recruit Maternity Cover for an Associate Director in its Portfolio Monitoring Group, covering Direct Lending and Special Situations strategies. The contract will take on the full scope of responsibilities across:
- Portfolio Monitoring & Oversight
- Capital Formation Support & Investor Reporting
- Financing & Leverage Facility
A core part of the role is the review and quality control of work produced by more junior members of the team (two Associates), ensuring rigour, accuracy, and consistency across all outputs before they reach stakeholders, Investment Committee, or investors.
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Monitoring & Oversight
- Provide oversight of PortCo trading data, reviewing junior team members' work for accuracy and comparability
- Review the monthly Portfolio reports and Quarterly Portfolio Review decks prepared by junior team members
- Oversee the monthly PortCo performance dashboard and asset performance review, ensuring early and objective flagging of underperformance
- Identify early warnings and direct fund modelling for recovery outcomes
- Produce portfolio and pipeline dashboards and fund outturn modelling

Capital Formation Support & Investor Reporting
- Own and maintain the fundraising model for Direct Lending and Special Situations funds, adapting them to support evolving LP economics proposals
- Support bespoke SMA and Evergreen structuring through fund modelling
- Update fund outturn modelling for calls and distributions forecasts for LPs
- Oversee the provision of bespoke datasets and tailored responses to LP queries, and the delivery of quarterly standard and bespoke regulatory reporting (e.g. Solvency II, COVIP), reviewing junior team members' outputs

Financing & Leverage Facility
- Optimise fund leverage through the fund cycle, including negotiating with lenders for waivers of asset eligibility and assignment of valuation marks where required
- Oversee the leverage facility reporting, including borrowing base reporting and regulatory reporting (ESMA)
Key Skills / Experience Required
- Building, reviewing, and stress-testing fund-level models (distribution waterfalls, underlying assets and fund cash flows, fund leverage, IRR/MOIC)
- Knowledge of Python and Power BI desirable
- Portfolio monitoring, fund modelling, or investor reporting within a private credit, direct lending, or private equity context
