The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Associate Director - Building Services to join a growing, forward-thinking consultancy. This is a pivotal leadership role offering a clear and supported pathway to Directorship. You'll play a key role in shaping the business, leading high-profile projects, developing client relationships, and mentoring teams - while being actively supported in your progression to board-level leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex building services projects across sectors (e.g. commercial, residential, healthcare, education)
  • Manage and grow key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities
  • Provide technical leadership across mechanical, electrical, or multidisciplinary teams
  • Oversee project performance, ensuring quality, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Mentor and develop junior and senior engineers, building a high-performing team
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth initiatives

About You

  • Proven experience in a senior building services role (Principal / Associate level or above)
  • Strong technical expertise in building services engineering (M&E or multidisciplinary)
  • Demonstrated success in project leadership and client management
  • Commercially aware with a track record of winning and delivering work
  • Aspiration to progress into a Director-level role
  • Chartered status (or working towards) preferred
