Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will identify, engage, and introduce ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) prospects to RBC's integrated wealth management proposition. Focusing exclusively on business development and client acquisition, you will build and nurture relationships with prospects, conduct comprehensive research, and facilitate warm introductions between prospects and our Relationship Managers.

This is a permanent, full-time role and requires 4 days in the office at our London location, as well as frequent travel to support business development activity.

What will you do?

  • Proactively identify and target new UHNW prospects using research, market intelligence, and professional networks to build a qualified pipeline for engagement
  • Build and nurture professional relationships within the UHNW space, centres of influence, and external networks
  • Conduct prospect research and due diligence to assess fit, potential value to RBC, and compliance requirements
  • Present RBC's integrated wealth management proposition to prospects, articulating value propositions, service offerings, and key differentiators
  • Prepare introduction materials, presentations, and briefing documents for prospect meetings with Relationship Managers
  • Facilitate warm introductions between prospects and appropriate Relationship Managers, ensuring seamless handover and ongoing alignment
  • Attend industry events, seminars, and networking functions to build your profile and identify new prospects
  • Provide market insights and intelligence to support the wealth management proposition and identify cross-sell opportunities

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Extensive experience in the UHNW or private client space with existing prospect relationships
  • Extensive background in business development or relationship introduction roles
  • Robust networking and prospecting skills with the ability to build and nurture professional relationships
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of business sectors, market trends, and financial products and services
