As an Associate Director in Capital Markets Operations & Domain Solutions, you will combine deep operations transformation expertise with strong consulting leadership capabilities to help clients solve their most complex operational and challenging projects within the Capital Markets industry.
Alongside leading client engagements, you will contribute to the growth of Deloitte’s Capital Markets Operations practice through business development, proposition development, thought leadership and team development.
To be successful in this role, you should demonstrate strong consulting leadership, operations transformation expertise and change delivery experience within Capital Markets. You will also need to have a strong understanding of capital markets operations, including the full trade lifecycle. You should also be able to demonstrate strong existing client relationships, contribute innovative ideas, and manage change and ambiguity effectively and confidently. Your existing industry and project management experience will be critical and will support both your development in the team and your ability to help develop a high performing team around you. We will provide you with the appropriate support to continually develop yourself, add real value and build credibility.

- Strategic cost transformation and management
- Redesign and optimisation of business and process architecture
- Delivery of technology and AI enabled efficiency, productivity and simplification programs
- Designing and implementing operating models.
As an Associate Director, you will play a leading role in driving practice growth through account development, opportunity origination and proposition development. You will be expected to identify client opportunities, lead pursuit activity, develop thought leadership and contribute to the continued growth of Deloitte's Capital Markets practice.
Internally, you will be responsible for owning and driving the growth of a client facing proposition and leading business development work. You will also be expected to build high performing and diverse teams around you and face off to executive level stakeholders.
To qualify for the role, you should demonstrate strong operations knowledge and change experience within capital markets. This includes:
- Experience of leading consulting engagements and transformation programmes for Capital Markets clients, either within a consulting firm or in a client-facing transformation leadership role.
- Experience of managing large engagements and teams.
- Strong existing relationships with senior individuals at Capital Markets institutions to help drive sales.
- Deep technical or business line experience in at least one key area in Capital Markets - e.g., Front Office, Client Onboarding, Reconciliations, Settlements, Collateral Management etc.
- Experience of leading teams to deliver Operations and Global Markets transformation (types of programs outlined above)
- Experience of managing programme and firm risk
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to executive level stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to clearly structure analysis.
- Excellent relationship/stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding and experience of the project management lifecycle.
- Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Proven change management and change delivery ability.
- Deep understanding of the F2B trade lifecycle e.g. understanding of pre-trade systems, risk management systems, post trade systems etc and how technology and AI support it.
- Experience of leading technology delivery and implementations using agile methodologies.
