About The Role
The Associate Director, Competitive Intelligence & Commercial Strategy will support strategic decision-making across emerging therapeutic areas and pipeline programmes.
The role will lead commercial assessments, competitive intelligence initiatives, and market analyses, translating complex information into actionable insights for senior leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Market Analysis
- Conduct commercial assessments of new therapeutic targets and disease areas.
- Develop forward-looking perspectives for pipeline programmes.
- Assess future market dynamics and competitive developments.
- Research markets and emerging therapies using credible data sources.

Competitive Intelligence
- Lead Competitive Intelligence initiatives, including congress coverage, competitive landscape monitoring, and CI workshops.
- Maintain competitive profiles covering product positioning, development timelines, and anticipated launch sequencing.
- Partner with external agencies on CI projects and support vendor management.
Reporting & Project Coordination
- Create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations summarising complex analyses and recommendations.
- Maintain the CI SharePoint site.
- Support budget tracking, POs, and project coordination.

Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting; 8–12+ years preferred.
- Strongly preferred: pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of commercial strategy, market dynamics, and competitive intelligence.
- Experience researching markets and emerging therapies using credible data sources.
- Strong analytical, presentation, and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally and managing external partners and vendors.
