Strategic BIM Information Management Specialist

Are you seeking to partner on transformative healthcare construction projects that deliver world-class facilities and exceptional patient environments? Our specialist healthcare team merges industry expertise with a passion for innovation, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role will position you at the heart of a multi-million-pound programme, allowing you to drive meaningful outcomes and make a lasting impact on communities and cities.

About the Role

You will develop and maintain information requirements, manage processes within a common data environment (CDE), and lead the delivery of the information management function for the project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Support: Provide comprehensive support throughout the entire lifespan of projects.
  • Resource & Scope Evaluation: Assess resources and scope of work to ensure they meet project objectives.
  • Workforce Allocation: Assign personnel to jobs across projects while maintaining balance.
  • Standards Compliance:
    • ISO 19650 Assurance: Manage OIR (Overall Information Requirements), AIR (Adopted Information Requirements), PIR (Project Information Requirements), and EIR (Employer Information Requirements).
    • Information & Process Governance: Ensure adherence to standards, methods, and procedures, along with maintaining shared resources.
    • Digital Handover: Develop and oversee the client’s digital handover strategy.
  • Dashboard Development: Create a real-time dashboard tracking resource allocation and identifying workload imbalances.
  • Object Library & Standards: Formulate an IFC-based object library strategy.
  • Technology & Compliance:
    • Research emerging technologies to enhance the BIM process.
    • Stay updated on classification developments and international standards.
    • Monitor Autodesk Construction Cloud compliance and emerging Autodesk innovations.
  • Bid & Relationship Management:
    • Review bid responses for alignment with client requirements and Mace’s capabilities.
    • Strengthen client relationships to secure new contracts and expand existing work.
    • Develop coalition-building with clients to ensure compelling bid execution.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Net Zero Commitment: Align with Mace’s sustainability goals, proactively managing carbon emissions and reductions.
    • Research new regulations to maintain compliance.
    • Upskilling Initiatives: Host BIM knowledge-sharing sessions for clients, project teams, and design partners.
  • Team Growth: Raise job requisitions to recruit new talent for the BIM function.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 7 qualification (or equivalent), including:
    • Integrated Masters (e.g., MEng)
    • Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MA, MSc)
    • Level 7 NVQ, Diploma, or Certificate (Qualifications Wales/Scotland)
  • Technical Competencies:
    • Advanced mastery of ISO 19650, BS 1192, Common Data Environment (CDE), IFC, CObie, and BIM classifications.
  • Technologies: Proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud and familiarity with emerging BIM digital solutions.
