About Pick Everard

Here at Pick Everard, we are passionate about creating a prosperous and sustainable future, taking a fresh perspective on the built environment. Our core values of professionalism, compassion, drive and positivity are at the heart of everything we do.

About the Role

We are looking to appoint an Associate Director or Director for Building Surveying to join our Central London office. You will become part of a national team, who work collaboratively together to deliver the aspirations and challenges our property clients face.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to lead the growth and development of our London Building Surveying team. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of projects for a respected client base across both the public and private sectors.

The role will involve you providing strategic leadership, driving technical excellence and ensuring high-quality project delivery. You will support commercially successful bids and fee proposals and help to develop the next generation of building surveying professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and direction across complex projects and programmes, monitoring progress, budgets and overall team performance.
  • Managing and developing a team of surveyors, providing technical guidance, mentoring and pastoral care to support their professional growth.
  • Contributing to the achievement of business plan objectives through the effective management and development of existing client relationships, while identifying and securing new business opportunities.
  • Preparing, reviewing and overseeing the delivery of high-quality technical reports, specifications and designs.
  • Leading business development activities, including client engagement, bid preparation and fee proposals, while contributing to national bid opportunities where required.
  • Actively contributing to the Discipline Business Plan and supporting the strategic and sector-specific objectives of the wider Building Surveying team.
  • Taking ownership of significant client accounts or sector responsibilities, providing strategic direction to strengthen client relationships and drive future growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health & Safety legislation, policies and procedures.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
