Purpose of the role
As an Associate Director, you will play a crucial role in the leadership and management of the Consulting Division of the Business, overseeing operations and leading the team ensuring the organisation meets its goals and objectives. You will implement strategies to support delivery of continued exceptional service to our customers and confidently engage and manage key stakeholders enhancing Empros profile across its client base. You will be a leader and role model within the organisation, setting an example for others to follow and inspiring others to achieve their best work.
Responsibilities
Existing Clients and Business Growth
- You will be responsible for nurturing existing client relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and the overall success of awarded projects.
- Delivering and exploring client satisfaction surveys looking at NPS scores and identifying key areas for improvement.
- Growing the portfolio of projects and recruitment referrals within the businesses that we work with.
- Supporting new business and onboarding new clients. Engaging new customers ensuring they are aware of and engaged with what Empro offers and the benefits of working with us.
Business Development and Success (including inter-business engagements of companies in the group)
- Supporting the ongoing development and strategic direction of the business, ensuring its continued success.
- Looking at strategic initiatives, keeping up to date with new market trends, new innovations, and technology.
- Ensuring efficiencies across the group recommending or referring clients to the Recruitment business and vice versa, making sure we are keeping in touch with consultants who may have passed through the Recruitment business so that we are making the most of business-wide opportunities.
- Identifying new opportunities in the market to add to our portfolio of service offerings, including but not limited to exploring opportunities with net-zero; and bidding / expanding into new locations or/and services.
- Identifying applications (app) production and development opportunities that can be delivered to complement our services or delivered as a separate service, for example the TUPE-as-a-service app and current apps we are currently delivering to current clients.

Project Framework and Delivery
- Developing a project framework for the Consulting Business. Including a charge commercial framework for the consulting business, linked to level of consultant.
- Developing frameworks for project management, PMO, mobilisation, communications and delivery.
- Develop stakeholder management standards to ensure high quality and consistent approach to client communication including use of key documents such as reports, RAID logs to help keep clients informed and up to date.
- Developing application production and delivery framework.
- Developing frameworks and opportunities for delivering moves and changes and other non-mobilisation projects.
Staff Development and Progression
- Growing the business to a position where it requires permanent staff.
- Exploring organisation structures, renumeration packages and benefits with the Managing Director.
- Developing job descriptions, development plans and clear career progression routes in line with Managing Director.
- Responsible for the management of all cosnutlants staff including performance reviews.
- Encouraging self-development for self and others. Being an exemplary role model for behaviours / ways of working.
- Being the main contact for consultants / contractors / escalation point.
Pipeline of Projects inc. Bids and Tenders
- Working with the Group Finance and Sales and Marketing teams to craft and mature bid responses and tenders.
- Reviewing and developing strategies for the pipeline and handling work thats coming into the business.
- Review both Public and Private sectors reviewing CRM (e.g. Monday) to understand bid decisions, developing criteria for deciding when to proceed with a bid or not.
- Preparing for Private sector pipeline in particular mobilisations that are due to become available in the next year, ensuring Empro has an established relationship with those clients and identifying clients that we need to build relationships with so that we are in the best position to deliver those projects.
- Exploring moves and changes and projects that fall outside of the mobilisation category for business continuity.
Commercials and Finance
- Feed into the Finance & Commerical Manager on how to gain clarity on our engagement methods and contractual and commercial standards.
- Ensuring the business is profitable; that the pipeline is consistent and of high calibre; converting our opportunuties into cash (eg monthly invoicing).
- Liaising with the Finance & Commercial Manager on budgets and forecasting and ensuring the business is operating within set boundaries reducing unnecessary spend.
- To ensure minimum 50% of time worked is billable / client recoverable.

Profitability and Performance
- Reviewing profitability of the business and identifying and reviewing areas for efficiency.
- Reviewing and managing performance of the team and projects.
- Review options for reporting on performance i.e. making use of CRM and or portfolio matrix / balanced scorecards.
- Manage how are the business is performing against operational standards - analyse and report on business activity in order to identfy potential changes and improvements across the business.
Requirements
- 10 years+ experience in the Facilities Management (FM) sector.
- 10 years+ experience in change and transformation.
- Excellent written, verbal and numerical competence.
- Completed studies to degree level.
- Consulting and proejct management experience within FM and the Built Environment.
- Ability to convert opportunities to winning business.
- Proven track record of delivering high profile projects and mobilisations/transitions.
- Proven track record of leading multi disciplinary teams.
- High level of integrity, EQ and ability to work with C-Suite level Execs.
