As an Associate Director within our Financial Services Regulatory Practice, you’ll lead a portfolio of complex client engagements while contributing directly to the commercial growth of the practice. You’ll work with Partners and Directors to shape client strategies, identify opportunities and oversee quality, risk, delivery, profitability and client outcomes.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead significant proposals, presentations, propositions and thought leadership, while providing clear direction to engagement teams. You’ll also play an important role in developing our people, strengthening ways of working and supporting the continued growth of a high-performing Regulatory Practice.

You’ll make an impact by

  • Leading complex Financial Services regulatory engagements from mobilisation to completion, maintaining oversight of scope, quality, timing, budget and key delivery decisions.
  • Building trusted relationships with boards, executive teams and senior stakeholders by providing clear, practical and commercially informed regulatory advice.
  • Working with Partners and Directors to shape client and account strategies, translating client needs into proportionate, fully costed solutions and compelling proposals.
  • Identifying and converting market opportunities, contributing to presentations, propositions, client campaigns and thought leadership.
  • Managing portfolio performance, including pricing, margin, utilisation, billing, recovery and work in progress, taking early action where delivery or commercial performance is at risk.
  • Leading and developing engagement teams through clear direction, purposeful delegation, coaching and timely feedback, while supporting recruitment and career development.

What we are looking for

Are you an experienced regulatory professional who combines technical credibility with commercial judgement and strong stakeholder skills? If you enjoy managing complex engagements, translating regulation into practical solutions and helping a growing practice succeed, this role could be for you!

We value diverse experiences and perspectives. Here’s what we’re looking for in our ideal candidate:

  • Strong FCA regulatory compliance expertise within UK financial services, including the FCA Handbook, SYSC, PRIN, Consumer Duty, conduct and financial crime requirements.
  • Proven consultancy or advisory experience, ideally in professional services, with the ability to manage complex regulatory engagements and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience interpreting regulation and delivering compliance monitoring, thematic reviews, horizon scanning, gap analysis, remediation and governance support.
  • A strong understanding of current and emerging FCA priorities, with the ability to turn regulatory change into practical, commercially informed advice.
  • Credibility with senior stakeholders, sound commercial judgement and the ability to develop others and support practice growth.
