How do you shape the future of organisations navigating one of the most significant technological shifts of our time? That’s exactly what you’ll do in this role. As a Director, you’ll build trusted relationships with business stakeholders – and use the most exciting new Google technologies available – to create data-driven programmes that transform their organisations. Your advice will help clients position their organisations to succeed in an ever-evolving marketplace.
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of robust, scalable, secure, and cost-effective Google Cloud solutions across various industries and client environments.
- Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical designs and architectural blueprints, ensuring alignment with client objectives and Deloitte's best practices.
- Provide expert technical guidance and leadership to project teams, overseeing the successful delivery of Google Cloud engagements from inception to completion.
- Drive the adoption of cutting-edge Google Cloud technologies, including services like Gemini Enterprise, to enhance client capabilities and foster innovation.
- Collaborate closely with clients, Deloitte engagement teams, and Google Cloud representatives to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of cloud solutions.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor on Google Cloud strategy and implementation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Deloitte's Google Cloud capabilities, methodologies, and intellectual property.
- Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Stay abreast of the latest Google Cloud developments, industry trends, and emerging technologies to ensure Deloitte remains at the forefront of cloud innovation.

Essentials
- Extensive experience in cloud architecture, with a significant focus on designing and implementing solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale, complex Google Cloud projects across various domains (e.g., data analytics, application modernisation, infrastructure, security).
- Experience working in a technical pre-sales capacity, producing bid documentation, RFIs, RFPs and participating in technical bid presentation.
- Technical experience working in IT with a deep understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals; compute infrastructure, storage, networking, and management thereof.
- An understanding of cloud managed services and support processes, and a commitment to produce supportable designs and builds.
- Deep expertise across a broad range of Google Cloud services, including but not limited to: Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, and Apigee.
- Demonstrable experience with AI/ML services on Google Cloud, with an excellent understanding of how platforms like Gemini Enterprise can drive business value.
- Substantial understanding of cloud security best practices, compliance frameworks, and network architecture within GCP.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
- Understanding cloud security and compliance best practices.
Desirable
- Experience working in a client-facing consulting role is highly advantageous.
- Good knowledge of Linux administration and management.
- Google Cloud Professional Architect certification is highly desirable; additional certifications (e.g., Data Engineer, Security Engineer) are a plus.
- Relevant GCP certifications (e.g., Cloud Digital Leader, GenAI Leader, Associate Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Security Engineer) are a plus.
- Ability, and willingness to, undergo UK National Security Vetting processes.
- Active, or readily transferable, security clearances are highly desirable.
