About the Role
Our client, a global top 10 Sovereign Wealth Fund, is seeking an experienced investment professional to join its TMT investment team, with a particular focus on hardware and semiconductors.
You will play a senior role in the origination, evaluation and execution of investment opportunities across the global technology sector, with a remit spanning both public and private markets. The role will involve developing differentiated sector views, leading investment processes, engaging with senior management teams and external stakeholders, and contributing to broader TMT investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Investment Origination & Evaluation: Lead the identification, origination and evaluation of investment opportunities across global hardware and semiconductor markets, spanning public and private companies.
- Investment Analysis & Strategy: Develop differentiated investment theses and sector perspectives, assessing market dynamics, competitive positioning, valuation, risk and long-term investment potential.
- Transaction Execution: Lead end-to-end investment and strategic transaction processes, coordinating internal stakeholders and external legal, financial, commercial and technical advisors.
- Sector Research: Monitor developments across semiconductors, hardware and emerging technologies, including technological disruption, supply chain dynamics and geopolitical developments.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor the financial and strategic performance of existing TMT investments, identifying opportunities to enhance value and manage portfolio risks.
- Relationship Management: Build relationships with management teams, founders, investors, investment banks and advisors to support global sourcing and investment activity.
- Investment Committee: Prepare and present high-quality investment recommendations and materials for senior management and the Investment Committee, providing clear and differentiated perspectives on investment opportunities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience across investment banking, private equity, growth equity, venture capital, public markets, corporate finance or investment-related roles.
- Demonstrated experience evaluating and executing investment or strategic opportunities within the global technology sector.
- Deep knowledge of hardware and semiconductor markets, including industry structure, competitive dynamics, supply chains and geopolitical factors.
- Experience across both public and private markets, with the ability to assess opportunities across different investment stages and structures.
- Strong financial analysis, valuation and modelling capabilities, combined with sound investment judgement and commercial acumen.
- Proven experience leading transactions, investment processes and multidisciplinary due diligence workstreams.
- Strong understanding of global technology markets, with international exposure across North America, Europe and/or Asia strongly preferred.
- Strong strategic, analytical and communication skills, with the ability to develop independent investment views and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
