Associate Director – Healthcare Investments
A leading UK and European healthcare investor is seeking an exceptional Associate Director to help drive an ambitious plan to deploy more than £1 billion of capital across the sector.
This is a high-impact opportunity for an accomplished M&A or advisory professional with direct care home transaction experience to move to the buy-side. You will work at the heart of investment decisions: sourcing and underwriting opportunities, structuring and executing transactions, supporting portfolio integration, and building long-term partnerships with leading care providers.
Why this role stands out
This is not a short-term, transaction-only role. You will see investments through from first conversation to completion, and remain involved as businesses and platforms develop within the portfolio.
You will join a respected, well-capitalised investor with the ability to move quickly, take meaningful decisions and back high-quality operators for the long term. The team focuses on resilient, asset-backed healthcare investments and works with successful care providers rather than distressed or turnaround situations. The mandate includes investments typically ranging from £20 million to more than £500 million, across a growing UK and European platform.
The investment focus
The team invests across specialist, essential-care services, including:
- Children’s social care
- Specialist education
- Adult specialist care
- Elderly care and care homes
- Asset-backed healthcare platforms and real estate

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
