About The Role

As an Associate Director, HR Bids & Transitions, you will make an impact by leading the people workstream across strategic bids and complex employee transitions. You will support opportunities from early solution design and due diligence through contracting, consultation, employee transfer and operational handover.

You will be a valued member of the HR Strategic Deals & Transitions team and work collaboratively with Sales, Solutioning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Delivery and regional HR teams. You will also engage directly with senior internal and client stakeholders, providing practical guidance and helping them make informed decisions where workforce risks could affect deal viability or delivery.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead the HR workstream for strategic outsourcing pursuits, shaping effective people solutions in partnership with Sales, Solutioning, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Delivery and regional HR teams.
  • Assess TUPE, Acquired Rights Directive and other employee-transfer implications, defining appropriate transfer, rebadge, rehire, restructuring and integration approaches.
  • Lead people due diligence, translating employee information into clear risks, assumptions, dependencies, liabilities and mitigation actions.
  • Develop HR cost inputs covering compensation and benefits, pensions, payroll, redundancy or severance, consultation and transition activities, supporting deal pricing and approvals.
  • Review people-related provisions in master services agreements, statements of work, transfer schedules and associated contractual documentation.
  • Present people solutions to senior internal and client stakeholders, including C-suite audiences, and influence decisions where workforce considerations may affect the deal or its delivery.
  • Plan and deliver end-to-end employee transitions, including communications, consultation, representative or trade union engagement, terms and conditions, onboarding, payroll and benefits readiness, stabilisation and HR handover.
  • Strengthen team capability through reusable tools, playbooks, training, coaching and knowledge sharing.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
