This is a specialist opportunity for an experienced professional with strong knowledge of Human Tissue Authority (HTA) legislation, HTA licensing requirements and the transportation of human tissue as dangerous goods.
Working closely with the HTA Designated Individual (DI) and relocation team, you will play a key role in ensuring continued compliance with the Human Tissue Act 2004 throughout the transition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on establishing an accurate inventory of HTA-relevant material at the existing licensed site
- Support the HTA DI with the HTA satellite site application process
- Advise on business continuity and security arrangements for business-critical HTA samples during the transition, including temporary off-site storage where required
- Provide specialist guidance on the transportation of human tissue as dangerous goods
- Support the HTA DI and relocation team in maintaining compliance with HTA licence requirements throughout the relocation
- Advise on preparing the satellite site for its first HTA inspection
- Review relevant HTA SOPs to ensure they are fit for purpose at the new location
- Recommend and support implementation of any necessary process changes
- Provide occasional hands-on support with specific activities associated with the transition

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
