Job Description
Looking for a dynamic leader to shape the future of immunoassay bioanalysis? We’re on the hunt for an Associate Director – Immunoassay to join our innovative team in Cambridgeshire! This is your chance to make a real impact within a top-tier Contract Research Organisation (CRO) supporting global pharma and biopharma development.
As our Associate Director, you’ll take the helm of our immunoassay division, guiding scientific excellence and operational efficiency while fostering a high-performance, people-centred culture. Working closely with senior leadership, your expertise will ensure the delivery of top-quality data within GLP and GCP-compliant labs, supporting both pre-clinical and clinical studies. What You’ll Bring To The Table
- Deep scientific expertise in immunoassay bioanalysis
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in bioanalytical or related fields
- Strong compliance knowledge (GLP, GCP) and attention to detail
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing high-performing teams
- Excellent technical and people skills to inspire and develop others, ensuring smooth project delivery and audit readiness
- Ability to build strong internal and external relationships and represent the department confidently at key meetings and conferences

Nice To Have Skills
- Experience in business development or client relationship management
- Familiarity with resource planning and continuous process improvements
- Background in study management or acting as Study Director / PI / Analytical Project Manager
Preferred Education & Experience
- Degree in a relevant scientific field (advanced degree preferred)
- Extensive experience in bioanalytical sciences, especially immunoassay platforms
- Prior senior leadership roles within GLP/GCP-compliant labs
Other Requirements
- Willingness to support audit activities and address CAPAs promptly
- Ability to work with cross-site teams and support industry compliance standards
- Visa sponsorship possible for senior-level candidates, along with relocation assistance and sign-on bonuses where appropriate
