Key Responsibilities
Strategy
- Support the Investment Advisors UK to facilitate in their day to day activities of engaging effectively with the clients and RMs.
- Contribute to the delivery of superior performance of the investment advisory team against strategic regional plan, upholding highest control environment standards, maintaining a zero tolerance policy towards regulatory risks.
- Provide independent opinion on quality of client’s existing portfolio.
- Determine client’s risk appetite, investment preference and return expectations by partnering with Relationship Managers.
- Providing relevant solutions given client needs/ objectives.
- Work closely with the IA Head of UK, sharing ideas and supporting product and service launch aimed at respective market coverages.
- Evolve the discipline to actively participate in client planning supporting the teams’ tagged accounts.
- Liaising with the product specialist WB/CMPS/FPSG within the central product development team on an ad-hoc basis to discuss client requirements as well as on a more frequent basis to ensure flow of product knowledge.
- Suitability and appropriateness champion.
Business
- Evolve to provide high quality investment advice to clients directly and to RMs, and inform them about suitable investments in the context of their portfolios by working closely with Senior IAs in the team.
- Evolve to provide independent opinion on quality of client’s existing portfolio whilst ensuring consistency with House Views through guidance from Senior Investment Advisor.
- Help to determine/validate client’s risk appetite, investment preference and return expectations by partnering with RMs in client meetings.
- Provide solution for client’s product requests.
- Facilitate support for preparing proposals for prospects and existing clients in conjunction with Senior Investment Advisors.
- Facilitate in the mass product launches pipeline, execution.
- Utilise tools such as Portfolio Insight as both a risk management and marketing tool for clients.
- Support the investment advisors in increasing the investment penetration and growth in AuM and Revenue.
- Contribute and drive investment meetings with RMs to promote Strategy Views and products.
- Co-marketing with Senior Investment Advisors and RMs.
- Organise / Participate in investment seminars for clients and prospects.
- Work with IA Head UK to build, lead and tier up a team of world class Investment Advisors and in ensuring that the team works effectively with RM’s, product partners and stakeholders.

Risk Management
- Adherence to “Treat Clients Fairly”.
- Understand risk & control within area of responsibility and drive rectification as required.
- Ensure adequate and appropriate systems and controls are in compliance with Group and Business Policies, procedures, standards and codes including those governing all Risk types, Compliance, Technology and Operations, Finance and Reputation.
- Take ownership and accountability of performing the advisory role successfully.
- Risk appetite is clear and integral to the strategy with appropriate controls.
- Ensure that Risk Management matters that are brought to attention are subject to direct remedial action and/or ensure adequate reporting to the relevant Risk Committees.
