Associate Director - Civil Engineering (Data Centres)

Location: London / South East (Hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000
Sector: Hyperscale Data Centres | Mission Critical Infrastructure

A leading, international engineering consultancy is seeking an Associate Director - Civil Engineering to play a key role in the delivery and growth of its rapidly expanding data centre division. Working alongside multidisciplinary teams across the UK and internationally, the successful Associate Director will provide technical leadership on major mission critical infrastructure projects for some of the world's largest technology clients.

This is an opportunity to shape the delivery of complex data centre developments while helping to grow a market-leading team operating at the forefront of an evolving sector.

We Are Looking For A Civil Associate Director Who:

  • Is a Chartered Engineer (MICE or equivalent), or operating at chartered level;
  • Has proven experience delivering complex civil infrastructure projects;
  • Has experience within data centres, mission critical, industrial or large-scale development sectors;
  • Possesses strong knowledge of highways, drainage, utility infrastructure and planning approval processes;
  • Has experience engaging with Local Authorities, statutory bodies and utility providers;
  • Can provide technical leadership, governance and assurance within multidisciplinary project teams;
  • Has experience working within BIM environments and collaborative digital delivery platforms.

As The Successful Associate Director - Civil Engineering, You Will:

  • Lead and oversee civil engineering design delivery across major data centre developments from the London based office;
  • Provide technical governance and engineering leadership throughout the project lifecycle;
  • Develop and review infrastructure solutions including earthworks, drainage, highways, utilities, pavements and access strategies;
  • Collaborate closely with structural, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical engineering teams across global offices;
  • Support business development activities and strengthen key client relationships within the data centre sector;
  • Contribute to expansion, upgrade and asset optimisation strategies for major technology clients;
  • Mentor and develop civil engineering teams, helping to build technical capability and future leaders within the business;
  • Act as a technical ambassador across regional and international data centre projects.
