We are partnering with a Private Equity-backed pharmaceutical company to appoint an Associate Director, M&A, supporting the organisation's ambitious growth strategy through acquisitions, licensing opportunities, and broader inorganic expansion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary and secondary market research to identify, assess, and prioritise marketed and pre-commercial pharmaceutical assets and acquisition targets.
  • Evaluate in-licensing, acquisition, and lifecycle management opportunities through analysis of epidemiological data, public databases, clinical literature, pricing dynamics, and competitive landscapes.
  • Support both Commercial and Financial Due Diligence processes, undertaking independent analysis while coordinating and managing external advisors.
  • Build, maintain, and analyse sophisticated financial models to assess transaction value, risk, and strategic fit.
  • Manage and develop the M&A opportunity pipeline, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic growth objectives.

  • 5+ years' experience within M&A, Investment Banking, Corporate Development, Strategy Consulting, or Strategic Finance, with a focus on the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences sectors.
  • Strong expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and transaction analysis.
  • Commercially astute, with the ability to assess the strategic implications and long-term value of potential transactions.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working on Pan-European transactions is highly desirable.
  • Degree-qualified in a Life Sciences-related discipline.
