The Role

Help shape market access within Genmab’s developing UK oncology affiliate. The Associate Director will lead UK access plans and own end-to-end development and delivery of HTA submissions for assigned assets and indications, supporting timely and equitable patient access.

Working closely with the Head of Market Access and Pricing, the role combines deep clinical and health economic understanding with UK payer expertise to develop scientifically defensible reimbursement submissions and informed pricing recommendations. It offers substantial ownership, direct engagement with UK decision-makers and the opportunity to influence regional and global evidence plans.

Key Responsibilities

UK access strategy and launch planning

  • Develop and deliver market access and HTA strategies for assigned oncology assets, aligned with UK portfolio priorities and global strategy.
  • Lead market access contributions within UK launch and brand teams, translating payer requirements and NHS insights into clear priorities and practical access plans.
  • Identify reimbursement barriers and contribute UK access perspectives to pipeline planning, evidence generation and lifecycle management.

HTA submission ownership and delivery

  • Own end-to-end planning, development and delivery of NICE and other relevant UK HTA submissions, from scoping through appraisal and final guidance.
  • Lead development of the integrated UK dossier and reimbursement case, bringing together clinical evidence, economic analyses and NHS insights.
  • Lead cross-functional submission teams and external agencies, managing agreed budgets, deliverables and timelines.
  • Lead engagement with HTA bodies for assigned appraisals, including clarification responses, consultation submissions and committee preparation.
  • Coordinate required scientific and business reviews and approvals, ensuring material issues are resolved or escalated before submission.

HTA evidence assessment and value demonstration

  • Critically evaluate survival analyses and extrapolations, considering data maturity, statistical fit, clinical plausibility and external validation.
  • Interrogate economic model structures and assumptions, including treatment-effect duration, subsequent therapies, utilities, costs and uncertainty.
  • Assess comparative evidence, including indirect treatment comparisons, and its implications for the UK reimbursement case.
  • Work with evidence specialists to develop and justify proposed UK base-case assumptions, scenario analyses and responses to appraisal challenges.
  • Define UK evidence requirements and agree supporting deliverables and timelines with regional and global colleagues.
  • Lead preparation of integrated responses to clinical and economic appraisal questions, drawing on specialist contributors to explain and defend the evidence.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
