Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Associate Director, Markets Sales Support to join our Global Markets Client & Sales Operations team. This is a high-impact leadership role at the intersection of Sales, Operations, Risk, Technology, and Client Management, supporting the Global Macro Sales Sponsors business.
As a trusted advisor and strategic partner to senior Sales leaders, you will drive initiatives that enhance client experience, accelerate onboarding, optimise trade lifecycle processes, and improve Sales productivity across multiple asset classes including FX and Rates. You will play a critical role in delivering operational excellence, managing complex client and Sales escalations, and leading transformation initiatives that create scalable, technology-enabled solutions across the Global Markets franchise.
The successful candidate will combine strong Markets product knowledge with exceptional stakeholder management, influencing skills, and a proven transformation mindset, driving innovation, process optimisation, and sustainable change to enhance client outcomes and support the ongoing evolution of the Global Markets business.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership & Business Transformation
- Partner closely with the Global Head of Macro Sales Sponsors and senior Markets stakeholders to execute strategic business initiatives.
- Act as a catalyst for transformation by identifying opportunities to modernise processes, enhance operating models, and embed digital, client-centric ways of working across the Global Markets franchise.
- Drive key transformation programmes including:
- Digital onboarding and e-onboarding enhancements.
- Streamlined client onboarding and account opening frameworks.
- Risk assessment optimisation and accelerated client classification processes.
- Legal and documentation prioritisation initiatives.
- Maintain a strong understanding of Global Markets products, infrastructure developments, and regulatory landscapes.
- Champion innovation, automation and process transformation initiatives that improve scalability, reduce operational risk, and enhance client outcomes.
Sales Enablement & Client Experience
- Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Global Markets Sales teams.
- Deliver first-class pre-trade and post-trade support across the client lifecycle.
- Partner with Sales teams globally to build a commercially focused and client-centric operating model.
- Lead resolution of complex client and Sales escalations with strong ownership and sound judgement.
- Ensure the delivery of outstanding client service while supporting business growth objectives.

Operational Excellence & Process Optimisation
- Analyse operational metrics and management information data to identify recurring issues and drive root-cause remediation.
- Design and implement scalable controls, governance frameworks and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual activities and improve workflow efficiency.
- Support new product launches through process design, operational readiness, testing coordination, and implementation.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology and COO teams to continuously enhance trade lifecycle efficiency.
Skills And Experience
Essential Experience
- 6+ years of experience within Global Markets, Markets Operations, Sales Support, Middle Office, Client Lifecycle Management, or a related Capital Markets environment.
- Strong knowledge of Global Markets products with experience supporting FX and Rates businesses; broader multi-asset class exposure is highly advantageous.
- Proven track record managing complex client-facing operational processes within investment banking or financial markets.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving Sales, Operations, Technology, Risk and COO teams.
- Strong understanding of client onboarding, trade lifecycle processes, operational controls and regulatory requirements.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Advanced knowledge of capital markets products and operational workflows.
- Exceptional problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Strong project management and change management experience.
- Ability to interpret data, identify trends and implement strategic improvements.
- Experience driving automation, digitisation and process optimisation initiatives.
Leadership & Behavioural Competencies
- Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Strong transformation mindset with the ability to challenge existing practices, drive innovation, and lead change through influence, collaboration, and strategic thinking.
- Strong influencing and communication abilities with senior leadership audiences.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter who demonstrates ownership, resilience and accountability.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to lead through influence across global teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, PRINCE2, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent are advantageous.
