Are you an experienced mechanical engineering leader ready to take ownership of major projects, influence technical direction and help shape the future growth of a global consultancy?

As an Associate Director (Mechanical), you will provide leadership across the delivery of complex mechanical engineering projects, supporting both project success and business growth. This role combines technical authority, team development and client engagement, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of engineering excellence and strategic leadership.

From mission-critical data centres to highly demanding engineering environments, you'll help deliver innovative, practical and efficient solutions while influencing the development of teams, clients and projects across multiple regions.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading mechanical engineering delivery across multidisciplinary projects.
  • Providing technical oversight of HVAC, cooling and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Managing project performance, quality and delivery programmes.
  • Acting as a key client interface throughout project lifecycles.
  • Supporting resource planning and team development.
  • Reviewing and approving technical designs and engineering documentation.
  • Contributing to strategic growth initiatives and business development activities.

Essential Skills

  • Strong experience delivering mechanical engineering projects within a consultancy environment.
  • Expertise in HVAC, cooling and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Proven technical leadership and design review experience.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management capability.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Degree-qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent.
