Joining Andaz London Liverpool Street means becoming part of a five-star lifestyle hotel located in the heart of vibrant East London. Just moments from Liverpool Street Station, the hotel sits at the centre of one of London’s most trendy neighbourhoods.

The hotel features 267 guestrooms and suites along with a collection of distinctive food and beverage experiences including a brasserie, café bar, wine lounge, gastropub and Japanese restaurant, creating a diverse and fast paced environment for colleagues. Andaz also offers 14 unique meeting and event spaces including the historic 1901 Ballroom and the Masonic Temple, both rich in character and heritage.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Groups & Events team, creating an engaging environment where colleagues are supported to perform at their best and deliver memorable experiences for our guests.
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales - Group and Events, to shape, monitor and evolve the hotel’s Groups & Events sales strategy, with a strong focus on achieving revenue targets and identifying new opportunities.
  • Drive the commercial performance of Groups & Events by reviewing enquiries, conversion, team activity and market opportunities, ensuring business is followed up effectively and opportunities are maximised.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with clients while managing a portfolio of accounts and developing new business in a way that reflects the individual character and approach of Andaz.
  • Take an active role in winning business, from prospecting and proposals through to negotiation and contracting, alongside client meetings, site visits, presentations, networking events and familiarisation trips.
  • Stay curious about what is happening in London and the wider Groups & Events market, using competitor activity, market trends and insight to spot opportunities and keep our approach fresh and commercially relevant.
  • Bring the commercial and operational sides of the hotel together, ensuring every event is communicated clearly and thoughtfully so our teams can deliver distinctive, seamless experiences for our guests.
  • Lead Groups & Events operational meetings and work collaboratively across departments to set every event up for success, from the initial enquiry through to the guest experience on the day.
  • Champion guest and organiser satisfaction, using feedback and Meeting Planner NPS insights to celebrate successes, identify opportunities and continually improve the experience we create.
  • Encourage a commercial mindset across the team, identifying thoughtful upselling opportunities that enhance the guest experience while increasing hotel revenue and profitability.

About You

You are an experienced Groups & Events or hotel sales leader who combines strong commercial thinking with a genuine understanding of what makes an event memorable. You are confident leading and developing a team, building client relationships and turning opportunities into results.

You thrive in a lifestyle hotel environment where personality, creativity and individuality matter. Curious about the market and comfortable trying new approaches, you understand that great Groups & Events experiences are not created from a standard formula. You enjoy collaborating across departments, bringing people together and ensuring the details discussed during the sales and planning journey come to life for the guest.
