Role Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced MRTPI-qualified Planner to join Savills' market-leading London Planning Team as an Associate Director. Working across a high-profile portfolio of commercial, infrastructure, industrial and logistics projects, you will play a key role in delivering planning strategies and securing outcomes for some of the UK's most recognised organisations.

As a senior member of the team, you will take ownership of complex projects from inception through to completion, leading multidisciplinary project teams, managing client relationships and providing strategic planning advice. You will work closely with Directors to deliver major planning applications, Local Plan representations, appeals and Development Consent Order projects, while supporting the development of Associates, Planners and Graduates across the team.

The successful candidate will have at least seven years' post-qualification experience, a strong understanding of the UK planning system and a proven track record of leading projects, managing clients and contributing to business development initiatives. Experience appearing at appeals and examinations, together with strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills, will be highly advantageous.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
