Description

A leading independent global consultancy has retained our services to recruit an Associate Director to join its established and growing Programme & Project Management team in London.

The role will be responsible for winning, resourcing and delivering complex strategic and operational projects, with a particular focus on major building programmes across sectors including science and industry, higher education, healthcare and commercial property.

Our client is seeking an experienced senior professional with strong client relationship and business development capabilities, able to advise organisations on delivery strategy, governance, programme structures and delivery models while successfully managing projects through inception, design, procurement and construction.

The role is suited to an established senior project or programme management professional with at least 15 years of relevant transferable experience who is looking to continue developing an already successful career within a highly collaborative consultancy environment.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage key client relationships, identifying and securing new opportunities with both existing and prospective clients.
  • Act as Project Director on major projects and programmes across sectors including science and industry, higher education, healthcare and commercial property.
  • Lead projects through inception, design, procurement and construction, establishing and managing multidisciplinary design teams and contractor performance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Advise clients on delivery strategy, leadership and engagement, business case development, governance, programme organisation, delivery models, sustainability, resilience and stakeholder management.
  • Lead teams in the successful delivery of commissions, ensuring consistently high standards of quality, commercial performance and client satisfaction.
  • Establish and administer contracts with clients, partners and suppliers, while identifying and mitigating commercial and reputational risks.
  • Develop influential client, market and peer relationships, lead diverse teams and networks, and take responsibility for delivery plans, targets and resourcing strategies.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of business plans and targeted propositions, demonstrating a proven ability to build long-term client relationships and win work.

Candidate Requirements

  • Candidates should hold a good first degree, ideally a minimum 2:1 in a relevant subject, together with an appropriate professional qualification such as APM, RICS, CIOB, RIBA or Engineering Chartership.
  • Experience in digitally enabled change, establishing new advisory services or developing strategies for projects with sustainable development outcomes would be advantageous.
