Associate / Director – Private Credit (DACH)
📍 Europe (DACH focus)
🗣 German & English required
💼 5–6 years’ experience | Leveraged Finance / Private Credit
We are supporting a leading European private debt platform in the build-out of its DACH private credit coverage team. This is a strong opportunity for a German-speaking professional with leveraged finance or private credit experience to step into a portfolio-facing, relationship-driven role within a well-capitalised and established franchise.
The Platform
The firm is a long-standing lower mid-market private debt investor with €3bn+ AUM and a pan-European footprint. The strategy focuses primarily on senior secured and unitranche financings, with flexibility across the capital structure. The platform is known for its disciplined credit culture, fast execution, and collaborative, people-focused environment.
The Role
You will join a newly formed Private Credit Management function, responsible for the active management and development of an existing DACH portfolio. The role sits at the intersection of portfolio management, client coverage, and incremental origination, working closely with origination, credit, fund, and sector teams across Europe.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
