Associate Director Quantity Surveyor - Birmingham

£30m Multidisciplinary Consultancy | Birmingham
Up to £80,000 DOE

A £30m multidisciplinary consultancy with ambitious growth plans is looking to appoint an experienced Associate Director Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in the continued growth of its Quantity Surveying offering in Birmingham.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants genuine influence over what comes next. Rather than stepping into an already established Birmingham QS function, you'll have the opportunity to spearhead its growth, develop client relationships and help shape the direction of the offering.

The consultancy's current portfolio is predominantly residential, including work with Legal & General and BTR/institutional clients, alongside commercial, healthcare, education, office fit-out, Grade II listed / heritage and insurance work. Commercial is also a particular area of growth.

The Role

As an Associate Director Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Play a key role in spearheading the growth of the Birmingham QS offering
  • Develop and build new client relationships and contribute to business development
  • Lead and develop the Quantity Surveying offering across the Midlands
  • Run traditional contracts and provide strong commercial and Quantity Surveying advice
  • Work across a varied portfolio including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, office fit-out, heritage and insurance
  • Build relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Contribute to the continued growth and development of the wider multidisciplinary business
  • Help shape the future direction of the Birmingham QS function

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
