Skills And Competencies
- Sales experience within a software, data, analytics or financial services organisation, with a proven track record selling to banks and other financial institutions
- Strong understanding of the banking sector, including risk management, lending, treasury, capital markets, regulatory compliance and credit analysis workflows
- Knowledge of how banks leverage credit research, quantitative models, data, analytics and risk solutions to support strategic decision-making and risk assessment processes
- Proven ability to use a consultative, needs-based and solutions-oriented sales approach throughout complex enterprise sales cycles
- Demonstrated success building relationships and influencing senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives and business leaders within banking organisations
- Strong presentation, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills across in-person and virtual environments
- Exceptional client relationship management skills with the ability to develop long-term strategic partnerships and maintain momentum in a remote environment
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify growth opportunities, navigate complex buying processes and deliver mutually beneficial outcomes
- Creative problem-solving, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts, with curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency. Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Banking or a related discipline
Responsibilities

Manage the full sales lifecycle for a portfolio of banking clients, deepen strategic relationships with existing customers and drive new business growth across Europe and Africa. Other responsibilities include:
- Drive strategic engagement and commercial relationships with key banking customers, developing a deep understanding of their business priorities, challenges and growth objectives
- Drive client retention and renewal success across the banking portfolio by proactively identifying risks, strengthening executive relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and delivering measurable business value that supports long-term partnerships
- Identify, negotiate and deliver opportunities that create value for both customers and Moody’s through enterprise-wide banking solutions and strategic partnerships
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with C-suite executives and senior decision-makers across bank leadership, risk, finance, treasury and lending functions
- Develop and execute account strategies that expand Moody’s footprint within existing banking clients and uncover new opportunities across multiple business lines
- Prospect and win new banking customers within the Europe & African markets, converting white-space opportunities into long-term client relationships
- Serve as the primary relationship owner and escalation point for customers, coordinating internal teams to address opportunities, resolve issues and enhance client outcomes
- Leverage deep insight into the banking sector, regulatory landscape and market trends to identify customer opportunities and risks and translate them into strategic or tactical actions
- Collaborate across Moody’s teams to deliver an integrated customer experience and ensure successful execution of client strategies and initiatives
- Maintain disciplined pipeline management, forecasting and reporting while ensuring achievement of revenue and business development objectives
- Represent Moody’s at industry conferences, client events and company-sponsored programmes to strengthen market presence and build strategic relationships

This position offers a dynamic work environment, requiring up to 50% travel to engage with clients face-to-face, while also providing the flexibility of hybrid working.
About The Team
Our Banking Sales team partners with leading financial institutions to help them navigate risk, support regulatory requirements and drive business growth through Moody’s data, analytics, research and technology solutions. Working collaboratively across the organisation, the team focuses on building trusted client relationships, delivering strategic value and expanding Moody’s presence within key banking markets across the region.
