Our client is a well-established and growing Building Services Consultancy with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the UK.
As part of its continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Associate Director to join their leadership team and play a key role in the management, development and future success of the business.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an ambitious senior professional looking to step into a strategic leadership position with responsibility for people, projects, clients and business performance.
Role
Reporting into the senior management team, you will provide leadership and operational support across a multidisciplinary Building Services team while acting as a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects and frameworks, ensuring technical excellence, commercial performance and outstanding client service. Alongside project leadership, you will contribute to resource planning, team development, business growth and the strategic direction of the business.
This role offers significant autonomy and influence, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Associate, Associate Director or Principal-level professional looking to take the next step in their career.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Act as a senior client contact and develop long-term client relationships.
- Oversee the delivery of multiple projects, frameworks and workstreams.
- Provide technical leadership and undertake quality reviews of engineering outputs.
- Support office operations, resource planning and workload allocation.
- Mentor, coach and develop engineers at all levels.
- Conduct performance reviews and support professional development initiatives.
- Prepare fee proposals and contribute to bid and tender submissions.
- Monitor project performance, budgets and profitability.
- Support invoicing, forecasting and commercial management activities.
- Participate in management meetings and strategic business planning.
- Identify opportunities for business growth, repeat business and new client development.
- Promote a collaborative, inclusive and high-performing team culture.

Requirements
- A strong background within a Building Services Consultancy environment.
- Proven experience leading teams, projects and client relationships.
- Excellent commercial awareness and project management capability.
- Track record of business development and winning new work.
- Strong leadership, mentoring and people management skills.
- Experience managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A collaborative approach with a genuine passion for developing teams and growing client relationships.
