Our Team, Your Impact
The Associate Director – Strategic Sourcing ‘Core / Agile’ is responsible for defining and leading sourcing strategies and execution across assigned External Manufacturing (EXM) Generics portfolio, in alignment with Procurement Category Management and Teva’s Generics EXM organizations.
Reporting to the Senior Director – Strategic Sourcing ‘Core / Agile’ Lead, this role operates as a strategic sourcing leader, owning the translation of business needs and category strategies into sourcing approaches, while influencing senior stakeholders to align on sourcing decisions and outcomes.
How You’ll Spend Your Day
- Define and lead sourcing strategies for assigned EXM categories, suppliers, and strategic initiatives.
- Own end-to-end sourcing lifecycle, including opportunity identification, sourcing strategy development, RFx execution, negotiations, and supplier selection.
- Lead complex commercial negotiations with strategic suppliers.
- Oversee contract development and execution in partnership with Legal.
- Own delivery of sourcing value, including cost savings, cost avoidance, supply resilience, working capital, and innovation.
- Develop and maintain deep understanding of supplier markets, capabilities, capacity trends, and competitive dynamics.
- Shape supplier strategies, including supplier selection, consolidation, and development of preferred supplier frameworks.
- Demonstrate bold leadership and a continuous improvement mindset by challenging the status quo and driving transformational change across sourcing, supplier management, and business processes.
- Embrace opportunities with an ownership mentality, focusing on solutions rather than obstacles, and proactively removing barriers to execution.
- Operate with agility and accountability, driving progress through action, collaboration, and disciplined execution while fostering a culture of innovation, urgency, and continuous learning.
- Own identification, assessment, and mitigation of sourcing-related risks.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to EXM, Category Management, and cross-functional leadership on sourcing strategies and supplier decisions.
- Collaborate and coach sourcing professionals, establish best-in-class sourcing practices, tools, and methodologies.
- Champion adoption of procurement systems, tools, and data-driven decision-making.

Your Skills And Experience
- Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Significant experience in strategic sourcing and contracting, including defining sourcing strategies and leading complex negotiations.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable value and leading high-impact sourcing initiatives.
- Experience in External Manufacturing in Pharmaceuticals strongly preferred.
- Experience in influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong strategic thinking combined with execution excellence.
- Good communication and presentation skills.
- Advanced negotiation and commercial acumen.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
