About The Team

Lead the strategic planning for the Travel sector reporting to the Airlines, Travel & Hospitality Vertical Growth Leader as part of the Global Enterprise Go-to-Market function. You will work closely with a wide array of global and regional teams including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance. Together with your team, you will plan and develop long-term goals and strategic objectives to continue to position Worldpay as a thought leader in Travel industries and grow the sub-verticals globally.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Own and maintain a Plan to Win for the Travel verticals, which includes for Travel: Travel Agencies, Travel Marketplaces, Cruise, Mobility & Ground Transportation and others.
  • Own the propositions across priority markets in our four regions: NORAM, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
  • Develop the Worldpay value proposition to win in each sub-vertical of focus from the perspective of the customer, and work with internal stakeholders to define our right to win.
  • Generate thought leadership to continue to position Worldpay as an influencer within Travel industries for use to support sales discussions, in customer business review meetings, and through marketing channels.
  • Attend and present at industry conferences, as well as at internal events, on trends impacting Travel/ Hospitality industries and Worldpay's value proposition.
  • Define our Travel go-to-market plan to ensure we effectively target our marketing and partner cultivation efforts.
  • Coordinate and drive execution of strategic commercial initiatives to grow the Travel sub-verticals.
  • Support regional Business Development and Relationship Management teams on various ad-hoc tactical requests including participation in customer meetings, RFPs, developing target lists, informing on vertical thought leadership and trends, to educate them on how to win in Travel industries.
  • Provide input into the product roadmap acting as the voice of the customer for Travel industries.
  • Lead a team of strategy and marketing professionals to support you in driving the objectives of the Travel vertical Plans to Win.
  • Develop a strong internal network amongst key stakeholders including Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing, Partnerships, Product, Legal, Risk and Compliance.

What you bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience from a management consultancy firm or another large enterprise business in a strategy function, or
  • 5+ years’ expertise within or advising Travel or Hospitality businesses in a leadership position
  • You have been central to strategic decision-making processes and are comfortable making choices and assessing trade-offs
  • Payments or other financial services experience highly desirable
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA desirable

Additionally, you will have:

  • Experience working within a payments function (desirable)
  • Self-motivated and able to work to define priorities across a complex, global organization, as well as close knowledge gaps quickly.
  • Ability to build consensus behind a vision and achieve buy-in to deliver on goals.
  • Excellent communication skills including speaking in panels, webinars and on stage at events, and a natural networker.
  • Good analytical experience, strong project management skills.
  • Comfortable with global travel to attend internal and external events and customer meetings.
  • Strong track record as a high EQ leader, driving both team engagement and development.
  • Experience working within a payments function (desirable)
