The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Associate Director, Technical Solutions to provide operational and people leadership across our UK Technical Solutions function.
The Associate Director, Technical Solutions will provide leadership and operational oversight for the UK Technical Solutions function, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality client-facing production systems while driving efficiency, compliance and continuous improvement.
The role is responsible for leading and developing teams, managing departmental resources and capacity, overseeing project delivery and risk management, supporting recruitment and workforce planning, and fostering a high-performing culture aligned to business objectives. Working closely with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders, the post holder will ensure effective implementation of technical, quality and regulatory processes while championing innovation, accountability and exceptional customer service

What you need to be successful
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science or information technology discipline or equivalent work experience in technical field, such as computer science or information technology discipline
- Significant experience of software development
- Significant experience managing software development or IT projects.
- Understanding of both waterfall and agile/SCRUM SDLC disciplines
- Understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 as it relates to software development

- Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science or information technology discipline or equivalent work experience
- Significant experience of managing software development or IT projects
- Significant experience of clinical trials or related pharmaceutical industry experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of the clinical trial process
- Understanding of current Microsoft development and SDLC tools
- Basic understanding of Object Oriented Design [OOD] principles
- Basic understanding of Test-Driven Design [TDD] and testing/code coverage
