Seeking a refreshing environment within a more dynamic planning consultancy to further your career in London?

As an Associate Director, Town Planning, you could advance your career with a business driven by genuine appetite for growth, pro-active approach to teamwork and a strong track record of successful delivery in the residential and commercial sectors with offices nationwide.

In this role, you can focus on pursuing a team target, with less emphasis on your personal billings versus a larger traditional corporate. My client is a multi-disciplinary organisation so you would also have greater opportunity to cross sell.

With a well-balanced team and capacity for future leaders, the structure of the business also supports potential for progression at Associate Director and Director level.

If you are confident already operating at Associate Director level, or an Associate, Planner ready to progress, this could be the opportunity for you!

You Will Be Involved In (among Other Responsibilities)

  • Leading on projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role.
  • Continuing to maintain relationships with clients in providing accurate advice and communicating effectively.
  • Dealing with pre-apps and manage planning applications through the development process.
  • Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders and local regularly.
  • Business development and working up your own client base, or bringing your own.
  • Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process.
  • Mentoring and helping to manage junior team members.

You Will Ideally

  • Have at least 8 years within planning - ideally in consultancy
  • Strong development management skillset and expertise
  • Be MRTPI or equivalent
  • Be a strong communicator with excellent written work
