Role Summary

This role offers an experienced Wealth Planner or Wealth Manager the opportunity to step into an Associate Director position with a premier national wealth firm in Birmingham. Backed by institutional resources, digital tools, and a comprehensive multi-disciplinary proposition across investments, credit, and estate planning, you will step into an established portfolio while enjoying the autonomy to build your regional footprint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and advise an inherited portfolio of high-net-worth clients with comprehensive financial planning needs, giving you immediate client ownership and a stable foundation without having to build a book from scratch.
  • Formulate and deliver targeted business development strategies across the regional professional community, enabling you to expand your network, raise your profile, and control your own asset growth.
  • Collaborate across internal specialist disciplines including discretionary fund management, credit, and trust services, offering you full access to sophisticated institutional solutions to solve complex client scenarios.
  • Provide mentorship and technical coaching to junior wealth team members, strengthening your leadership track record and expanding your managerial capability within an established regional office.

Requirements

  • Level 6 CII (such as Chartered Financial Planner or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning) or Level 7 CISI Chartered Wealth Manager qualification.
  • Substantial client-facing experience advising high-net-worth individuals within an established wealth management or financial planning firm.
  • Deep technical understanding of holistic wealth planning, current tax frameworks, retirement structures, and broader investment strategies.
  • Strong relationship management and commercial acumen, with the ability to present a viable business development plan during the interview process.
