Associate Director / Director - Corporate Investigations | London
We are seeking an experienced investigator to join a specialist team supporting complex international disputes, litigation and arbitration. The role will involve working closely with lawyers and clients on challenging cross-border matters, developing and executing investigative strategies to identify evidence, trace assets and uncover information that can directly support legal proceedings and enforcement actions.
The Role:
- Conduct investigations supporting complex international litigation and arbitration.
- Undertake asset tracing, evidence gathering, corporate and individual research, and investigations into fraud, corruption and misconduct.
- Identify documentary and testimonial evidence that can withstand scrutiny in court or arbitration.
- Develop investigative strategies alongside lawyers.
- Conduct public-record and open-source research across multiple jurisdictions.
- Identify, approach and interview sources/witnesses where appropriate.
- Map corporate structures, ownership, relationships, assets and financial/commercial interests.
- Support enforcement of judgments and arbitral awards.
- Analyse findings and produce concise, evidentially robust written work for clients and counsel.
- Work closely with leadership and have direct exposure to clients throughout the lifecycle of a case.
- Potentially undertake fieldwork internationally.
- Develop an understanding of the legal strategy behind the matter so that investigative work advances the client's case

Profile:
- 8–15 years’ relevant professional experience
- Strong track record in complex investigations.
- Experience handling cross-border and multi-jurisdictional matters, ideally involving litigation, arbitration, asset tracing, fraud, corruption or other contentious situations.
- Strong investigative judgement, with the ability to develop lines of enquiry, assess evidence and determine how an investigation should progress.
- Comfortable working closely with lawyers and understanding how investigative findings support wider legal and disputes strategy.
- Experience may have been gained within a specialist investigations or intelligence firm, disputes consultancy, law firm, forensic practice, government or another relevant investigative environment.
- Strong research and analytical capabilities across public records, corporate information, litigation records, open-source intelligence and human-source enquiries.
- Experience identifying, approaching and interviewing sources, witnesses or other relevant individuals would be valuable.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings clearly to lawyers, senior clients and other stakeholders.
- International experience and additional languages would be advantageous, particularly where these support investigative work across multiple jurisdictions.
- Legal training or previous experience within a legal environment would be useful but is not essential.
- Comfortable operating internationally and undertaking fieldwork where required.
