Associate - NQ- 3 years pqe

Office location: Jersey, Channel Islands

Harneys (Jersey) strives to deliver excellence in meeting our clients’ needs, and in putting our clients at the centre of everything we do. We work closely with the Harneys global network to provide seamless client services.

We advise on the most significant offshore disputes, which invariably span multiple jurisdictions, winning keynote victories for our clients and often helping shape the law. We also advise on the largest and most complex cross-border restructurings and insolvencies of recent times. The demanding nature of our work and our clients means our team have to be able to offer pragmatic but often creative solutions to complex problems.

About the role

We are growing our Disputes team and we are seeking an Associate to join us.

As an Associate, you will be an effective, collaborative team player, who recognises the high demands our clients have, and who can be flexible in order to meet adjusting deadlines. You will work with and support more senior team members in order to meet clients’ needs.

You will work on a range of cross-border litigation and insolvency matters, including fraud investigations, asset tracing, shareholder and corporate disputes, contentious trust and probate matters, restructuring and contentious regulatory advisory matters.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
