Location: Twickenham, Greater London
Hybrid: 3 days per week working in the office, 2 days working remotely
Employment: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary Range: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

The MIMS Healthcare Network encompasses a portfolio of trusted, well-established brands including GPonline, GP Business, MIMS and MIMS Learning, designed to keep healthcare professionals informed on industry news, clinical education, drug information and practice management. Elevating our industry reach, our newest brand, MIMS Pharma, delivers specialised business intelligence, data and market insights tailored specifically for the pharmaceutical sector.
MIMS Pharma is a key strategic growth area for the Network, with an expanding portfolio of data-led content, trackers, market insight pages and reports. As part of the Medical team, the Associate Editor will play an important role in developing this proposition, creating high-quality content and identifying new opportunities to turn data and insight into valuable content for pharmaceutical industry audiences.
The Role
MIMS Pharma is a growing B2B content and insight proposition within the MIMS Healthcare Network, providing pharmaceutical companies with access to data, intelligence and insights derived from MIMS' proprietary data, prescriber networks and wider healthcare information.
As Associate Editor, you will work as part of the MIMS/MIMS Pharma editorial team to develop high-quality, data-led content that provides meaningful insight to pharmaceutical industry audiences.
Reporting to the Editor, you will play an important role in expanding the MIMS Pharma editorial offering, identifying opportunities to turn data and information into valuable content, and developing new ways to engage subscribers across multiple channels.
The role combines editorial expertise, data analysis, research and content development. You will work closely with editorial, marketing, subscription and commercial colleagues to support the growth and development of MIMS Pharma as a key strategic proposition within the MIMS Healthcare Network.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality, data-led content focused on UK primary care prescribing for pharmaceutical industry audiences, including news, analysis, insights and in-depth reports.
- Research and interpret developments in prescribing, healthcare and the pharmaceutical industry to identify relevant content opportunities and provide context and analysis for subscribers.
- Identify, develop and maintain a range of information and data sources to generate content leads and editorial opportunities, including NHS data, MIMS drug data, user analytics, MIMS surveys, social media, external media, conferences and events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prescriber and pharmaceutical industry contacts to support research, generate content ideas and provide insight into audience needs.
- Create content across a range of formats, including written, audio and video, and support its delivery through appropriate channels such as email bulletins and social media.
- Identify new opportunities to use internal and external data to develop premium content and strengthen the value proposition of MIMS Pharma.
- Work with colleagues across the MIMS/MIMS Pharma team to develop and deliver new editorial products, features and content initiatives.
- Regularly review audience engagement and analytics data to understand content performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Support audience research and use findings to inform editorial priorities and the development of MIMS Pharma content.
- Work collaboratively with marketing, subscription and commercial teams to support the successful delivery of MIMS Pharma's business objectives.
- Manage multiple editorial priorities effectively, ensuring content is accurate, engaging and delivered to agreed deadlines.

Key Relationships
- You will work closely with MIMS/MIMS Pharma editorial colleagues, prescriber and pharmaceutical industry contacts, and colleagues across Medical, marketing, subscription and commercial teams.
- You will also build effective relationships with relevant stakeholders across the wider MIMS Healthcare Network, sharing knowledge and insight and collaborating to support the successful delivery of editorial and business objectives.
Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria
Knowledge
- Knowledge of B2B publishing, journalism or digital content creation, including multi-channel content delivery.
- Understanding of the UK healthcare system and/or pharmaceutical industry, or a demonstrable interest in developing knowledge in these areas.
- Understanding of how data and research can be used to inform editorial content and provide meaningful audience insight.
- Familiarity with healthcare or prescribing data sources would be advantageous.
Skills
- Strong editorial and writing skills, with the ability to produce accurate, engaging and accessible content for a professional audience.
- Ability to interpret data and information and translate findings into clear, meaningful editorial insights.
- Ability to identify content opportunities and develop ideas from a range of data, research and information sources.
- Ability to communicate data and insights effectively through written content and, where required, audio, video and other formats.
- Strong research and interviewing skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relevant professional networks.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver work to agreed deadlines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Confidence using digital content, analytics and data tools; experience with AI and data visualisation tools would be advantageous.
Experience
- Background in journalism, writing, editing or research, with evidence of producing high-quality content.
- Ability to research and develop content using data, research and a range of information sources.
- Demonstrable ability to build and maintain professional networks and use contacts to generate content ideas and support research.
- Exposure to working across multiple content formats and/or digital channels.
- Strong track record of managing multiple priorities and delivering work to agreed deadlines.
- Experience collaborating with colleagues across different teams or functions to deliver shared objectives.
