As demand for our expertise continues to grow, we are looking for an Associate Electrical Engineer to join our experienced building services team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading role in delivering complex projects across a diverse range of sectors while helping to shape the future growth of our team.
You'll work closely with clients, colleagues, and project teams to deliver high-quality electrical engineering solutions from concept through to completion. Alongside leading projects, you'll play an important role in mentoring engineers and supporting the ongoing development of our electrical engineering capability.
What You'll Do
As an Associate Electrical Engineer, you'll lead electrical engineering projects and support multidisciplinary teams to deliver successful outcomes for our clients.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Leading building services engineering projects and coordinating project teams.
- Managing project risk and ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed scope, programme, and budget.
- Taking technical responsibility for electrical building services designs from concept through to detailed design.
- Reviewing, supervising, and supporting the work of engineers and technicians.
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their professional development.
- Producing technical reports, specifications, and design information across all project stages.
- Using computer-aided design and Building Information Modelling software, including Revit, to develop project solutions.
- Collaborating with structural engineers, architects, surveyors, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Attending project, client, and technical meetings.
- Ensuring designs comply with relevant legislation and health and safety requirements.

To Succeed In This Role, You'll Have

- Strong project leadership and project management skills.
- Significant experience delivering electrical building services designs within a consultancy or contractor environment.
- A degree or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Professional registration as an Incorporated Engineer or Chartered Engineer, or a clear commitment to achieving professional registration.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Confidence leading teams and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
