Role Overview
Join Savills Earth as an Associate Energy & Grid Consultant, playing a key role in helping clients achieve their net zero ambitions while supporting the delivery of complex development and infrastructure projects. Working within Savills expanding Energy Team, this position offers the opportunity to advise a diverse client base including rural landowners, residential developers, and commercial and industrial organisations on grid connection strategies, energy infrastructure, and utility capacity solutions.
The successful candidate will bring strong expertise in UK grid connections, energy regulation, and network engagement, providing strategic advice on connection opportunities, programme risks, costs, and development viability. Working closely with clients, energy networks, and public sector stakeholders, you will deliver feasibility assessments, technical reports, and commercially focused solutions that help unlock development potential and optimise project outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious energy professional with strong project management and relationship-building skills who is looking to take a leading role in both project delivery and business development. As part of one of the UK’s largest Energy & Sustainability consultancies, you will contribute to innovative projects that create lasting environmental and societal impact while helping to grow Savills market-leading energy advisory services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
