Our international Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure (ENRI) practice

Our international Energy, Natural Resources & Infrastructure (ENRI) practice advises on the development, acquisition, financing and operation of major infrastructure and energy projects across the UK and globally. We act for developers, sponsors, lenders, investors, governments and public sector bodies on complex and high-profile transactions spanning the energy transition, transport, utilities, digital infrastructure and wider infrastructure sectors.

Working closely with colleagues across corporate, finance, real estate, construction, regulatory, tax and disputes, we provide clients with an integrated service throughout the project lifecycle. Our work includes renewable energy projects, transport and logistics infrastructure, utilities, defence, mining and natural resources projects, as well as emerging technologies supporting the energy transition.

The Role

We are looking to recruit an Associate with between 2 and 5 years' post-qualification experience to join our growing Bristol-based ENRI team.

The successful candidate will work on a broad mix of domestic and international matters, supporting clients on complex project development, investment, financing and acquisition transactions. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with leading practitioners in a collaborative and supportive environment, while taking on meaningful responsibility from an early stage.

Person specification

We would be interested in hearing from candidates who have:

  • 2-5 years' PQE gained with a leading City, international or national firm.
  • Experience in Project Documents, Project Finance, Corporate, or a combination of these disciplines.
  • Excellent technical legal skills and strong drafting ability.
  • A commercial and pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively as part of a team.
  • A strong academic background and enthusiasm for the energy, infrastructure and natural resources sectors.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
