Overview

Hines Europe is looking to hire an Associate into the Investment Management team, primarily to work on Hines European Property Partners (HEPP), Hines' open-ended, diversified core plus fund in Europe. HEPP currently has approximately EUR 2.0 billion of GAV across 23 investments in 9 countries. The role offers broad exposure across a sizeable pan-European portfolio and the opportunity to work as part of a highly collaborative Fund Management team at the centre of investment decision making, portfolio strategy, and investor engagement for the Fund. The role is based in London and reports to the Fund Manager.

Responsibilities

As an Associate within the Fund Management team, you will support the Fund Manager in the day-to-day management of the Fund, contributing across capital raising, investment decision making, portfolio management, and investor communications. Working closely with the Fund Management team, you will help drive fund-level initiatives, evaluate investment opportunities, and support strategic decision making throughout the investment lifecycle.

The Associate serves as a key link between the Fund Management team and the wider Hines platform, working closely with investment and asset management teams across Europe to ensure investment decisions, portfolio initiatives, and investor deliverables are aligned with the Fund's strategy and objectives. Reporting to the Fund Manager and working closely with senior members of the Fund Management team, the Associate's responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating investment opportunities by analysing underwriting, key assumptions, risk and return, portfolio fit, strategic alignment, and fund-level implications, and contributing to Investment Committee recommendations.
  • Supporting the development and execution of portfolio strategy by reviewing business plans, evaluating strategic asset management initiatives, and monitoring portfolio performance against the Fund's objectives.
  • Undertaking fund-level analysis, including portfolio construction, liquidity management, capital allocation, performance, and risk, to inform strategic decision making.
  • Supporting capital raising activities, including coordinating investor due diligence requests, overseeing the preparation of fundraising materials and investor presentations, and responding to investor information requests.
  • Coordinating the preparation and review of periodic investor reporting, due diligence questionnaires, and other investor communications, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and timely delivery.
  • Coordinating cross-functional workstreams relating to acquisitions, disposals, financings, and other strategic portfolio initiatives.
  • Supporting Fund governance processes, including Investment Committee, Advisory Committee, and other internal approval processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
