About Clear Capital Finance
Clear Capital Finance is a London based commercial finance brokerage. We help UK businesses raise the funding they need to trade and grow, across asset-based lending, asset finance, invoice finance, trade finance, property finance and cash flow lending, using a broad panel of UK and international lenders.
Clients work with a named specialist rather than a general service desk. The person who structures the deal is the person who manages the relationship.
Clear Capital Finance sits within the New Age Group, a collective of financial services businesses spanning FX, payments and banking. That is not part of the day to day role, but it gives useful commercial breadth as you develop.
The role
We are recruiting an Associate Funding Specialist to join the team. This is an entry level new business role and a route into commercial finance.
UK businesses carry funding needs they either do not know how to solve or take straight to their bank, whether that is a cash flow gap, an equipment purchase, a slow paying debtor book or a property deal. The role involves identifying those businesses, qualifying the opportunity and introducing Clear Capital Finance as an alternative.
The role begins with outbound activity: building a pipeline, booking meetings and sitting in on client calls alongside senior colleagues. Responsibility increases with competence, progressing to running the full sales cycle and managing your own clients.
Prior experience in commercial finance or financial services is not required. Training is provided from first principles. We recruit on attitude, work rate and coachability.

The role reports to a Senior Funding Specialist.
Key responsibilities
- Generate new business through outbound calling to decision makers at UK businesses, typically owners, finance directors and finance managers
- Research target companies and identify those likely to have a funding requirement, using filed accounts, trading patterns and growth signals
- Qualify opportunities against funding type, amount, timing, incumbent lender and current cost
- Book and prepare meetings for senior funding specialists, progressing to leading meetings independently
- Build a working knowledge of the product set across asset based lending, asset finance, invoice finance, trade, property and cash flow lending, and explain it clearly to non specialists
- Understand how lenders assess a case and what makes a deal fundable
- Keep accurate records of activity, notes and next steps in HubSpot
- Hit daily and weekly activity targets and monthly revenue targets
- Support clients through onboarding and drawdown, and stay close to them for repeat funding needs

Candidates must hold the right to work in the UK and be able to work from our City of London office five days a week.
Nice to have
- Experience in a target driven, customer facing role, including sales, telesales, recruitment, FX, estate agency, retail or hospitality
- Interest in business, finance or how companies are funded
- Exposure to a CRM system such as HubSpot or Salesforce
- A finance, business or economics background, academic or otherwise
- A record of sustained commitment in a competitive environment, such as sport
Remuneration
Base salary of £22,000 to £30,000, depending on experience and agreed revenue target.
A generous, uncapped commission structure, designed to reward performance and scale materially with revenue generation.
A separate cross-sell commission scheme for opportunities generated across the wider group, including FX, banking and crypto and digital assets.
