Associate General Counsel | Major Infrastructure Projects
Warwick / London (Hybrid)
A unique opportunity to join a leading UK infrastructure organisation at a pivotal moment in its evolution.
Reporting to the UK General Counsel, you will act as the senior legal business partner to a major infrastructure portfolio responsible for delivering nationally significant projects worth billions of pounds. This is a high-profile leadership role combining strategic legal advice, executive stakeholder management, and the opportunity to shape a transforming legal function.
The Role
You will provide legal leadership across:
- Major infrastructure development and delivery projects
- Planning, consenting, and DCO matters
- Property, land rights, and compulsory acquisition issues
- Regulatory and stakeholder engagement
- Strategic project risk and governance

Working closely with executive leadership, you will help shape project strategy, influence key investment decisions, and ensure legal considerations are embedded throughout the project lifecycle.
The Person
We are interested in speaking with lawyers who have experience advising on:
- Major infrastructure projects
- Construction and engineering programmes
- Energy and utilities developments
- Transport or capital projects
- Large-scale development and delivery programmes
Applications are welcomed from both private practice and in-house candidates. Alongside strong technical expertise, you will bring:
- Proven leadership capability
- Experience driving transformation and change
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Commercial judgement and strategic thinking
