ROLE OVERVIEW
The team
The General Liability Insurance team spans London and Bristol and is linked with the Medical and Life Sciences team. The team is part of the firm's Insurance Group and has a well-established client base, acting for a number of market leading liability insurers in the provision of their employers, public and products liability services to insured businesses.
The role
Our General Liability team is seeking a lawyer (NQ +) to join the team in Bristol. The role will predominantly be dealing with personal injury claims, with the opportunity to become involved in associated regulatory matters such as health and safety investigations/prosecutions and inquests. There is also the opportunity to deal with the regulation of products.
The work will be very varied, interesting and challenging and where you show you can run the cases successfully, you will be given autonomy to make your own mark on the files. You will also have the opportunity to get involved with business development and client initiatives, where appropriate.
In Addition, You Can Expect To
- Manage and assist with the management of fast track, intermediate and multi-track personal injury claims.
- Advise on all legal aspects relating to claims including coverage.
- Deliver a high quality and timely output to clients, ensuring high levels of client service and alignment with agreed working practices and client service level agreements.
- Work to develop an environment of constant improvement: enthusiastically sharing with and helping others.
- Capture and collate required Management Information in accordance with agreed practice for clients.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the team's service, support, processes, and procedures.
- Attend client events and/or travel, principally to London, when required.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Legal Executive or Solicitor NQ - 2 years
- A good grounding in handling personal injury claims and fast track litigation.
- Experience, or an interest in gaining experience in, Product Law and Health & Safety.
- A good knowledge of legal procedures.
- Able to deliver legal and commercial solutions and establishes collaborative working relationships with clients and colleagues to provide an outstanding client experience.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Able to manage client relationships and deliver trusted relationships.
- Committed to business development to further grow their network and the practice.
- Works efficiently and commercially and understands the importance of financial hygiene.
- Committed to being part of a supportive, inclusive and collaborative firm culture.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
