A leading engineering consultancy is looking for an experienced Associate Geotechnical Director to join its growing Central London team. This is a senior role for an experienced geotechnical professional looking to take on greater responsibility across project delivery, client management, and team leadership.
The role will involve working across a varied portfolio of projects, providing geotechnical advice from feasibility and investigation through to design and construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception through to completion.
- Provide technical input and oversight across a range of ground engineering projects.
- Manage and develop client relationships, identifying opportunities and supporting business growth.
- Review and oversee geotechnical reports, specifications, designs, and technical deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior and senior members of the team.
- Support project bids, fee proposals, and business development activities.
- Work closely with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to deliver practical solutions.
- Take responsibility for project budgets, programmes, and overall delivery.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

- Significant experience within geotechnical engineering consultancy.
- A strong technical background across ground investigation, design, and assessment.
- Experience managing projects and client relationships.
- Previous experience mentoring or managing engineers.
- Strong communication and commercial skills.
- Chartered status with ICE or a similar professional institution, or be working towards it.
This is a good opportunity for an experienced geotechnical engineer to step into a senior position with scope to take on greater technical, commercial, and management responsibility.
