Are you an Associate Hydrogeologist looking for greater technical and client responsibility? This is an opportunity to join an established multidisciplinary consultancy in Edinburgh, leading hydrogeology and water environment projects across infrastructure, renewables, power, industrial, and built environment sectors.

The Associate Hydrogeologist will take responsibility for project and technical delivery, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams while supporting the development of less experienced colleagues.

The Associate Hydrogeologist Role Will Include

  • Leading hydrogeological assessments, investigations, and monitoring programmes
  • Preparing and reviewing EIA water chapters
  • Water environment assessments, abstraction licensing, and groundwater permitting
  • Technical analysis, interpretation, and reporting
  • Managing client relationships and supporting proposals
  • Leading multidisciplinary project delivery
  • Mentoring and developing scientists and hydrogeologists

The Associate Hydrogeologist Should Have

  • Substantial UK hydrogeology or water environment experience
  • A degree in Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline
  • Strong hydrogeological assessment and water monitoring experience
  • Knowledge of UK water legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Strong technical reporting, client, and communication skills
  • Chartered status or be working towards chartership
  • A driving licence permitting you to drive in the UK

GIS, analysis, or modelling software experience would be advantageous rather than essential.

The Associate Hydrogeologist position offers GBP55,000 - GBP65,000, hybrid and flexible working, professional development, pension, private medical insurance, and discretionary bonus.
