We’re working with a highly creative, international interior design studio looking to appoint an Associate Interior Designer to join its London team.

The studio creates luxury hotels, hospitality and F&B interiors, delivering design-led projects from initial concept through to completion.

This is an opportunity for an experienced designer to move into a senior leadership position without stepping away from hands-on design. You’ll work closely with the Creative Director, leading multiple projects from initial concept and creative direction through design development, technical delivery and completion.

The role

You’ll combine hands-on design with project and team leadership, including:

• Leading the creative and conceptual stages of projects, from research and initial ideas through to developed concepts.
• Remaining hands-on with AutoCAD and design production where needed.
• Producing and developing space plans, layouts and design intent.
• Leading FF&E, material and finish selections, including the design of bespoke furniture.
• Creating and delivering compelling client presentations and confidently presenting design concepts.
• Leading projects through the full design process and ensuring the creative vision is maintained throughout.
• Managing and mentoring designers from Junior through to Senior level.
• Running collaborative design workshops and providing creative direction and constructive feedback.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, joinery and technical information alongside the wider project team.
• Working closely with clients, consultants, suppliers, contractors and fabricators.
• Maintaining oversight of programmes, budgets and deliverables across multiple projects.
