Since 1889, we have aligned our efforts with our three guiding Principles That Endure: Service, Expertise, and Integrity. Together, they reflect the three cornerstones of business conduct which we strive to instill in our employees, whom we call partners, and to provide to our clients and the communities we serve worldwide.

With more than 135 years of financial experience and over 24,000 partners, we serve the world’s most sophisticated clients using leading technology and exceptional service.

Role

The Global Institutional Client Group (GICG) is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with institutional investors across the EMEA region. The Associate plays a key role in supporting these relationships by partnering with the GICG team to deliver a high standard of client service to both existing and prospective clients.

The successful candidate will interact directly with clients to understand their servicing needs and investment objectives, respond to enquiries, and provide information on Northern Trust Asset Management's products and services. The role offers broad exposure across distribution, investments, product, and operational functions, providing an excellent opportunity to develop a well-rounded understanding of the asset management industry. We are seeking a proactive, collaborative, and client-focused individual to join and strengthen the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers in delivering an exceptional client experience across institutional client relationships.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for client servicing matters, ensuring timely resolution of queries and effective coordination across internal teams.
  • Develop a strong understanding of clients' business objectives, investment goals, and market challenges.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation, advocating for client needs and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Coordinate account onboarding, cash flows, fee reviews, and client data maintenance activities with relevant business partners.
  • Manage day-to-day client servicing requests and support internal stakeholders in responding to client requirements.
  • Partner with Relationship Managers and the broader distribution team to understand client needs and identify opportunities to enhance processes, products, or services.
  • Support projects and initiatives aimed at improving the client experience and delivering strategic business objectives.
  • Coordinate client meetings, due diligence questionnaires (DDQs), requests for information (RFIs), and other client-related deliverables.
  • Assist with the preparation of client and prospective client meeting materials, including presentations, briefing notes, and supporting documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
