Rate of pay: Associate Lecturer A - £54.28 to C - £35.63
Hours: Variable hours
Fixed term until 31 October 2027

Guildhall School of Business and Law (School of Business, Environment and Law) at London Metropolitan University is seeking enthusiastic and experienced Associate Lecturers (Hourly Paid) to support our teaching across a range of undergraduate and postgraduate provisions.
These are hourly paid Associate Lecturer positions, with teaching allocated according to curriculum requirements, subject expertise and availability. Responsibilities may include teaching seminars and workshops, supporting students, contributing to assessment and feedback, module leadership, and working closely with Course Leaders, Module Leaders and the wider academic team.
We are particularly interested in hearing from academics and industry professionals who are passionate about creating an inclusive, engaging and career-focused learning experience for our diverse student community. We welcome expertise across four subject areas: Tourism, Marketing and Fashion Marketing.
1. Associate Lecturer - Tourism

We are looking for an enthusiastic Associate Lecturer (Hourly Paid) in Tourism to contribute to our Tourism-related teaching.
We would particularly welcome applicants with expertise in areas such as tourism management, destination management, sustainable tourism, visitor experience, tourism policy and development, digital tourism, events and hospitality, or related disciplines.
Candidates should ideally hold a relevant PhD or, as a minimum, a relevant postgraduate qualification, and/or have substantial professional experience within the tourism sector. Experience of teaching in higher education and supporting students from diverse backgrounds would be advantageous.
We are particularly keen to hear from individuals who can bring current industry practice, contemporary case studies and real-world perspectives into the classroom.
2. Associate Lecturer - Marketing
We are seeking an engaging and knowledgeable Associate Lecturer (Hourly Paid) in Marketing to support teaching across our Marketing and Business provision.
We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in areas including digital marketing, marketing strategy, consumer behaviour, branding, social media marketing, marketing communications, marketing analytics, AI and emerging technologies in marketing, or related areas.
Candidates should ideally have a relevant PhD or, as a minimum, a relevant postgraduate qualification, and/or significant professional marketing experience. Previous teaching experience in higher education would be desirable.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work collaboratively with our academic team and contribute to a practice-focused and contemporary learning experience that helps students connect marketing theory with the realities of modern organisations and industries.
3. Associate Lecturer - Fashion Marketing
We are looking for a creative and industry-aware Associate Lecturer (Hourly Paid) in Fashion Marketing to contribute to our Fashion Marketing provision.
We are particularly interested in candidates with academic or professional expertise in areas such as fashion business and management, fashion marketing, fashion buying and merchandising, luxury brand management, fashion retail, digital fashion, consumer behaviour, sustainability and ethical fashion, or related disciplines.

Applicants should ideally hold a relevant PhD or, as a minimum, a relevant postgraduate qualification, and/or demonstrate substantial professional experience within the fashion industry. Previous experience of teaching, mentoring or supporting students would be welcomed.
We are specially interested in individuals who can bring current fashion industry knowledge, commercial insight and contemporary examples into their teaching and help students develop the professional skills needed for their future careers.
